Essential Elements of Manufacturing Technology (EEMT) combines roughly forty-five hours of online instruction using the AMTDA U machining fundamentals classes with an in-person, hands-on workshop held in a location where students gain further knowledge from both classroom and hands-on training in a shop floor or shop showroom environment.

Students are required to complete the forty-five hours of online instruction prior to attending the in-person workshop so that the instructor is better able to guide the learning process along at an even pace for all.
